Please note that from the 1st October 2008 the requirement for Energy Performance Certificates now extends to the construction, sale and lease of all commercial properties, regardless of size.*

*The requirement for an EPC has been phased in according to the size of commercial property.  If the property was already on the market before its relevant implementation date, it does not require an EPC straight away.  It will need an EPC by either the date that the building is sold/rented or by 4 January 2009, whichever is the sooner.
