Merry & Co Solicitors offers friendly, high-quality legal advice
Merry & Co Solicitors provides high quality legal advice in a friendly and relaxed environment. We work hard to give good value for money, and offer free quotes for all private client work.
The firm’s aim is to provide a professional, proficient and personal service to all clients irrespective of their individual circumstances.
We are able to advise on a range of legal matters. Home visits can be arranged if necessary, particularly to cater for the less mobile client. Out of hours appointments are possible in an emergency.

Ian Merry
Solicitor
Ian is our senior partner, having qualified as a solicitor in July 2000. He is known for his accessibility and personal approach to his clients. When not at work, he enjoys socialising with family and friends.

Kieran Thorne
Solicitor
Kieran joined Merry & Co in 2021. He obtained his Law Degree in 2020 and is currently studying a Masters. Outside of work he enjoys cooking and playing for the Isle of Wight Rugby Club.

Victoria Fisher
Legal Assistant
Vicky has been with Merry & Co for 7 years as a Legal Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her partner and spending time with her two dogs.

Legal Assistant
Jess is one of the legal assistants at the firm. When she is not at work, she has a keen passion for baking and enjoys supporting the local Speedway.

Sharon Merry
Legal Assistant / Receptionist
Sharon has been with the firm for over 20 years filling various roles. In her spare time, she enjoys walking the office pugs on the beach and water sports including Freediving & Paddleboarding.

Zoe Finnis
Legal Cashier
When she’s not locked in her office with a calculator, Zoe enjoys the outdoors. Whether it’s kayaking, camping in her van, or drumming in a local Samba band, she fits in as many smiles as she can in life.

Ivy Merry
Security
Ivy is a 5-year-old pug and is head of security at Merry & Co. In Ivy’s spare time, she enjoys meeting anyone that has treats, sleeping and her favourite food is ham!

Flora Merry
Backup
Flora is Ivy’s younger sister. She is currently training for a place on the security team and is progressing well. Flora has a built-in early detection system and likes to use it! She also loves ham!

NHS and Blue Light Card Holder Scheme
We are located centrally in Ryde and are only a short walk from the railway/bus station. Our office has wheelchair access and can provide information in large print if required.
To thank our NHS staff and Blue Light Card holders, we offer a 10 % discount on our professional legal fees.
